It’s been exceptionally hot in Chicago as of late, so when I came across this movie on Netflix I though it appropriate. Orson Welles is absolutely perfect in his role as the oppressively involved father of the Varner clan, his performance is amazing. Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward have such a chemistry, I wasn’t surprised to learn after watching it they married after filming the movie. Rarely do I feel like sharing a movie, but this one has captured the moment for me these days. The movie left me tingling.
